    Exposure: There are three large south-facing windows facing Belmont St. The window bay measures approximately 11’9” x 8’. Each window is equipped with an individual roller shade. For additional sun protection, there is a secondary large blackout roller shade that covers all 3 windows.

    Power: There are 6 outlets in the Studio.

    Sound: The studio is not a sound stage, and the space is not zoned for live music performance. Expect to hear the sound of passing traffic and neighbors’ voices.

    Access: The studio is located at 4243 SE Belmont St. Unit 100, next door to Never Coffee. [hyperlink] The Studio is fully ADA accessible with ADA accessible bathroom access. Street level roll-in via secured Belmont St. entrance. For packing in larger items, there is a rolling garage door (9’x10’) that opens directly onto the sidewalk on SE Belmont St.; please arrange access in advance.

    Parking: Limited street parking is available right on Belmont, or there is plenty of untimed street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.

    HMU/Wardrobe: Small dedicated HMU/wardrobe area with full length mirror, wardrobe rack, spare hangers, and garment steamer. Two large bathrooms available down the hall for changing.

    Kitchen: Refrigerator, Sink, Hot Water Maker, Toaster Oven, Plates x12, Bowls x12, Flatware x12, Mugs x12, Drinking Glasses x12.

  • The studio is open 8am-6pm. Early starts and late stays can be discussed before or during your shoot.

  • A recent shoot had 10 people and rented the cozy room as a green room space for talent.

  • The Studio is not zoned for personal parties or live music performance, but we are happy to host creative classes and workshops! Please email hello@idylspace.com to discuss deets.

  • Animals are not allowed in the studio without prior permission.

  • If a reservation is made in error, we can immediately refund your reservation.

    For all reservations, the policy is as follows:

    48hrs+ notice = Full refund and/or rescheduling available.

    Less than 48 hrs notice = No refund available.

  • STUDIO POLICIES & AGREEMENTS | HOUSE RULES

    All renters must take care to not damage any of the studio equipment, furniture, props, backdrops, etc. If damage occurs, renters agree to pay for repairs or replacement within 15 days.

    Renter agrees to not cut or damage seamless papers. Renter agrees to pay the cost to replace damaged items.

    Renter agrees to NOT use tape or tacks on the studio walls so as not to peel the paint.

    Renter agrees to only occupy the space during their paid reservation time. If renter uses more time or is found in the space longer than booked, renter agrees to pay for that time at a rate of $75/hr.

    Renter understands there are NO cancellations or changes allowed within 48 hours of the appointment. Less than 48 hours notice = NO refund available. 48 hours or more notice = refund and/or rescheduling available. Please note: Set-up/take down takes place DURING your rental time.

    All renters agree to NOT sublet their time to another person without permission from Idyl Studio. The space is rented to approved individuals only. All renters agree to stay in the Studio at all times and not leave their clients or equipment alone for any reason.

    All renters agree to be responsible for the deductible on the Studio’s insurance if your client files suit against the Studio.

    Renter agrees to turn off all lights and remove trash when exiting the studio, and keep noise at a minimum and not disturb other tenants in the building. All renters agree to respect each other’s business and clients.

    The studio cannot be used for anything that is illegal. Renter and their clients must refrain from smoking or vaping inside the studio, the building, or outside near the building.

    The Renter holds Idyl Studio and its agents harmless from any and all actions, causes or actions, cases, claims, suits, injuries, harms, damages, judgments, and liabilities whatsoever, in law, equity or otherwise arising under, in connection with or relating to (i) any negligence on the part of the Renter during any Session, (ii) any action or failure to act under this Agreement or in connection with the events that led to the termination of this Agreement, or (iii) any illness the Renter might be exposed to and/or contract during or related to performance by Renter under this Agreement (including, but not limited to, Covid-19).
